Scottish court reasserts legal professional privilege principles in rare case

The Inner House of the Court of Session in Scotland has ruled that that the Scottish Legal Complaints Committee (SLCC) is not entitled to recover legally privileged information in a solicitor’s file to investigate a third-party complaint unless the client gives permission.
