Japanese woman on Malaysia death row to appeal for leniency under new law

Mariko Takeuchi, a former nurse sentenced to hang for trafficking 3.5 kilos of methamphetamine into Malaysia in 2009, has appealed under the law allowing prisoners sentenced to death or life imprisonment to seek reduced sentences.
